Message from HP LSA head

As we continue our efforts to enhance telecommunication services in the state of Himachal Pradesh, I would like to take a moment to highlight the unique challenges we face in this region. The tough terrain and geographical diversity of Himachal Pradesh present significant obstacles in delivering seamless connectivity and ensuring that various government schemes and benefits reach every nook and corner of Himachal Pradesh.

We understand that reliable communication is essential for the socio-economic development of our communities and therefore, our primary objective is to assess and improve network coverage, telecom services so as to improve Citizen Centric services across the state.

In addition to improving existing infrastructure, we also focused on introducing advanced technologies, such as 5G, to ensure high speed connectivity in Himachal Pradesh. We believe that by leveraging these technologies, we can provide our citizens with faster and reliable communication services that will empower the citizens to access information and resources more effectively.

Apart from coverage and technological aspects, we are also focusing on security related aspects. Under Citizen Centric Initiatives, Sanchar Saathi application empowers mobile subscribers, strengthen their security and increase awareness about these initiatives of Department of Telecommunications. Citizens are urged to use Sanchar Saathi application, available in form of Mobile App and web Portal.

To empower our community with knowledge and awareness, regular awareness sessions on Cyber security, telecom frauds, electromagnetic radiation etc are conducted in the state.

As pioneer of innovation, we successfully piloted the Call Before You Dig (CBUD) mobile application, a collaborative initiative to protect the underground infrastructure/ Utilities of Government and private entities from damage.

Quality of service is of utmost importance to us, and to ensure its adherence, we regularly conduct exhaustive mobile drive tests in various parts of Himachal Pradesh, making data-driven decisions to enhance user experiences

The HP LSA team has been diligently working in close collaboration with the stakeholders i.e. State Government departments, Telecom service providers (TSPs) and the citizens. We appreciate the ongoing support and cooperation from all stakeholders to overcome the challenges posed by tough terrain of state and ensure that the benefits of modern telecommunications reach every resident of Himachal Pradesh.

We envision a connected Himachal Pradesh, where communication knows no bounds and believe that a well – connected Himachal Pradesh will not only foster growth and innovation but also strengthen our communities.

We are committed to upgrade telecommunication infrastructure and thereby deliver state of art services in Himachal Pradesh.
